My experience from the campus tour
I lThis campus tour of Kamehameha High school was a great experience for me. I learned of buildings I have never seen or heard of. I learned their names and why they named them. Like the girls dorms are called Keopulani because Kamehamehaʻs favorite wife is Keopulani and no buildings can be built higher than the dorms because of that. I learned what the buildings were for in the past and nowadays. For example, the Kaahumanu gym used to be an auditorium, a place where they had song contest, and a couple of people lived in this building. I learned that some of the buildings like Haleakala was built by a famous architect. I learned a lot of history about each building and that is the past, the school was divided into a girls school and a boys school. The girls school what the top part of the high school and the boys were below them, on the lower campus. The buildings on the top are all named after woman in Kamehamehaʻs life except one or two and below them are buildings named after men in his life. I learned that there are buildings that aren't named after a Hawaiian like the Smith Office, but Smith was a very important person because this person helped in the overthrow of the Hawaiian Government.
